ABSTRACT | ||
This study examines, compares and explores the educational aspiration of high school students in Nagaon District, Assam and to analyse the influence of demographic variables namely gender, locale and types of schools on their educational aspiration. A sample of 1266 students was selected using stratified random sampling ensuring representation from both urban and rural areas. Data were collected using standardized Educational Aspiration scale developed by Dr. Yashmin Ghani Khan (2019). Descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean and standard deviation were computed. Data were analysed using t-test and one-way ANOVA. Result revealed that there is a significant difference in educational aspiration of gender and locale. However, no difference was found in educational aspiration by types of schools. The study highlights the critical role of gender and location in shaping students’ educational aspiration. | ||
