ABSTRACT
Mahatma Gandhi was a man of remarkable political genius in the modern world. He devoted his entire life to the complete development of the moral, economic, social and spiritual life of the people of India. The two ideals of his life were truth and non-violence. For Gandhiji, God was the only truth and non-violence was a way of life. By and large that is a completely positive plan. His dream society was classless, non-exploitative, non-violent and decentralized. Gandhiji's aim of education is to make education self-reliant and self-reliant, which will help the individual to become self-reliant. Gandhiji called this education basic education. Gandhiji's philosophy of education can be seen to be a combination of these three doctrines of idealism, naturalism and pragmatism. It can be observed that Gandhiji's educational philosophy has been developed by combining these three doctrines.
