Effect of Project Based Learning on
Writing Skill in English Language Among 3rd Grade Learners

ABSTRACT | ||
The present study investigates the Effect of Project Based Learning on Writing Skill in English Language among 3rd Grade Learners. Students were selected randomly through simple random sampling technique. There were two groups in the Experimental research design: the experimental group and the control group. The sample included of One hundred students of 3rd grade which were taken from two separate CBSE schools of Gurdaspur city. Fifty students were assigned to the experimental group, while the remaining fifty were assigned to the control group. In this study, pre and post-test design was used to assess the Writing skill in English language. The collected data was statistically examined using Mean, SD, T-Test, and ANOVA. The results of this study demonstrated that project-based learning method had a positive impact on Self-Expression writing skill of 3rd grade learners. It was found that those students performed better whose parents exhibited higher level of Education which was post-graduation and above, whereas the children of those parents, who attained primary level of education, achieved more scores in contrast of the children, who had parents with middle level of education. Overall, it influenced the different levels of Parent’s Education i.e. Illiterate, primary, middle and secondary.
