ABSTRACT
This paper discuss the importance of digital resources, various types of digital resources, characteristics of  digital resources. This paper further discuss  Digital India Initiatives undertaken by Government of India, these initiatives ensures free flow of knowledge across length and breadth of our country so that the youth of India has necessary knowledge, skills and opportunities to move forward, not just in academics but to sustain a lifelong learning path. New education Policy,2020 (NEP) is an attempt to fill the gaps of education system in India, act as a bridge between academics and industry, improve quality and  holistic school education, promotes digital education, encourage practical skills and employability, strengthens research and innovations, bring more women to workforce, create opportunities and employment for the present and future generations of our country. Viksit Bharat @2047 is the idealistic arena of India with economic growth, technological advancement and global leadership. This study is based on the survey method, the websites of respective institutions, government departments and organizations are used for study. Digital resources have made their presence felt and we have accepted that digital resources are of utmost importance for the user’s community. The  facilities of Digital India Initiatives should be communicated to library users by LIS professional so that the digital resources can be utilized at its best.
