ABSTRACT | ||
Poet Mallika Sengupta is known as a rebel in Bengali poetry circles. Mallika is a daring and independent poet. Women occupy much space in her poetry. Everything can be said without saying much In her writings, the poet has unitedly protested the humiliation of all the humiliated and oppressed women of that era. Her carefree style of expression in the form of writing does not know how to stop. Because she is a rebellious storyteller. She has been writing for ages. From the Puranas to the modern era, women are also featured in the poet's poetry. The protesting women of poet Mallika Sengupta's 'Kathamanavi' have been included in my discussion. This poetry contains the stories of Khana, Draupadi, Ganga, Rizia, Medha Patekar, Madhavi, Malati and Shahbanu. The poet is very aware of her poetry. Her feelings are very strong. The poet's keen feelings and awareness have been captured in the poem 'Kathamanavi'. Keywords: Kathamanavi, protestant, fighter, brave, Vasyokar. |
